At the moment we have only translated a small part of our homepage. It will take a while for the rest to be translated, so please be patient, we are doing our best.

Everyone, who is interested in artifacts from the time around 1200, should have a look in our Archaeological finds-area. At the moment there are mainly pictures from the catalogue of the exhibition "Mittelalterliche Gefäßkeramik" (Medieval ceramics) of the museum of Cologne.

In Handwork you will find historical backgrounds of ancient craftmanship, as well as progress reports and sometime in the future instructions.

The area Pastime concerns itself with all the things which make life more pleasant.

All sorts of information about the topics cooking and nutrition can be found in Kitchen.

16.02.08 The first article about military history is online. Under Info you find an article about padded armour and and the attempt of a reconstruction of a gambeson. German only.
09.01.08 The article about tablet weaving has been removed from our website according to the wishes of its author. It can now be found here: The Tablet-Weaveress.
17.12.07 Two small news: there is a new figure of a primary source for our project 'sling' (under handwork) and in our list of sources (under info) we have linked the digital version of the 'Rolandslieds des Pfaffen Konrad.
